Well Pump Questions And
Answers
Question:
Recently I have noticed too much air in my
water line. For example when I turn on the water it starts fine then it
sputters and shoots out water fast. The water is cloudy filled with air
bubbles). I just put the new tank in in January and this problem started
about end of June. What do I do.
Answer:
Hi: Mark Thank you for visiting My
web site. The problem you are describing can be caused by a number of things.
1 your well is running out
of water. Have you been using more water then usual lately?
2 A cracked or broken pipe coming
from the well. do you notice any wet spots on the lawn coming from around the
well to the house?
3 bad check valves. most pumps
have at lease two check valves, one on the top of the pump and the other on
the well tank.. if the one on the pump fails the water can seep back in to the
well causing air to seep in to the line, when the pump comes on the air is
pumped into the tank.
There is no easy fix for this. The
best thing to do is call a well company or a plumbing company that deal with
wells
